David G. Strachan, Jr., CTFA

David G. Strachan, Jr. is a Senior Vice President and Director of Fiduciary Services at Cambridge Trust.

Mr. Strachan has managed client relationships for over twenty-five years and has been with Cambridge Trust since 1996. He serves as a trusted advisor to high-net worth clients and families and oversees Cambridge Trust's Trust and Estate Officers, Trust Council and supporting staff. He leads the team that provides strategy, consultation, planning and administration for trust and estate clients and their complex family relationships. 

David began his career in 1989 as a Trust Administrator at Bankers Trust Company in New York. He subsequently worked at the Boston law firm of Choate, Hall & Stewart LLP and the Bank of Boston. He is a member and former Board Member of the Boston Estate Planning Council, former Chairman of the Topsfield Commissioners of Trust Funds and former Secretary/Treasurer of the Essex County Estate Planning Council. In addition to being a member of the Finance Committee of the Cambridge Homes, Inc., an independent assisted living community for seniors, Mr. Strachan is also the former President of the Wellmet Project, Inc., a Cambridge-based organization that provides transitional housing and support services for individuals suffering from mental illness. 

Mr. Strachan received a BA from St. Lawrence University in Canton, New York in 1989. He is also a graduate of the American Bankers Association's National Graduate Trust School and Private Wealth Management School, as well as Boston University's Certified Financial Planning Program. He received the Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA) designation in 1995.
